        there is a young man leaning on the newspaper rack, leering into traffic that crawls around in the
        street. his full weight is on the rack. his boyish frame, mostly pants and elbows, leans at a
        perverse angle. he's scowling at the cars and the sun metaphorically sets behind him. so much of 
        the world is here: perched against a metallic throne, awkward and hungry, trying to get home.
